We understand many of you will be traveling across the country, and know the costs can add up, especially if you'll be coming with all the kiddos (which we hope you do!)  We ask that you please just worry about getting yourself to and from the party and we'll do the rest.  We don't know where the next phase (medical residency) will take us and hope to start off minimally --> UPDATE! We learned on January 20, 2016 that we will be headed to Los Angeles for Erika's urology training at UCLA!!! So, even more reason we need to start off minimally - we will be DOWNsizing.

If we can't talk you out of the long standing cultural tradition of bestowing gifts upon the newly weds, then we would recommend something small/experience-focused (e.g. California State Park or National Park Pass, REI gift card, gas card for our upcoming road-trip to Cali, etc). We will be commissioning our artist friends to create a few custom items for us but we aren't sure about the funding situation at this time. Please fell free to check out their websites below.
